Hey ladies! Soooo I hope finally this works. I’ve been accidentally categorized as a contributor and not admin. So hope this posts okay now! Its a little long but we also haven’t met for awhile either!!!!!

This past Friday night the Neurotica sale went extremely well. Jackie, Edel and I showed up at Bethnal Green and headed over to Jackie’s old studio, where she interned when she first came over. Vic, the owner, is a LOVELY lady. Very sad to see her business go under but it sounds like she’s happy with her big move down under and we were all delighted with our amazing purchases for really cheeeaaappp! Thank you Jackie for the suggestion! Here is their website if you want to check out the awesome stuff you missed! http://www.thisisneurotica.co.uk

Sunday morning was lovely. Jackie and Sheena came out to the Museum of Childhood in Bethnal Green. We had a nice morning of wanderings, even tho the actual “exhibit” we originally came to see was TINY and not what we were expecting, we found some other amazing gems and with a free price tag, you can’t go wrong.

After we had a coffee break at a cafe whose name no one could pronounce, but they do exhibits there after 6pm, so if we can get a show organized that might be a good place! Talk commenced of Sheena starting a pop up restuarant! Yummy! And we also discussed the idea of getting a space for the collective to meet and work on projects. If we get  enough people together on the rent it could be quite cheeeeaaappp for all of us!

We took another wander and found a nice sidewalk sale, loads of nice random goodies and then took a bus over to Brick Lane. Jackie and I acquired the new MASCOT for the collective, he is a white furry dog puppet named Fergal. Pictures will come eventually!

Anyway, there is a knitting group I get emails from, they sound like a fun crazy bunch and if you’re looking for a knitting specific evening, they look like a fun group. They have loads of events and craft fairs. I’ll try to keep up with anything I think is cool on the blog. Here’s a bit from their latest email:
